Military Career
Chiragh Haider Baloch is a Punjabi Baloch and hails from Sahiwal, district Sargodha. He was commissioned in the Frontier Force Regiment of the Pakistan Army.
He has served as the Director General of Joint Staff Headquarter, Director General Military Training, and GOC Infantry Division Jhelum.
In March 2019, Major General Chiragh Haider was conferred the Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military) for his meritorious services to the army. In September 2019, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General.
In September 2021, Lt Gen Chiragh Haider moved from DG Joint Staff Headquarters to replace Lt Gen Waseem Ashraf as Commander of Corps II in Multan.
