Major-General Muhammad Ali served as Commandant of the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA), Kakul from 25 November 2019 to 25 November 2020.
In November 2020, he was among six Major Generals promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General. He was soon after appointed Commander of the Army Strategic Forces Command (ASFC) in Rawalpindi.
ASFC is a major command of the Pakistan Army which administers land-based nuclear weapons. It is tasked to command all of Pakistan’s land-based strategic forces.
He has also served as Deputy Board of Governor at Army Burn Hall institutions. His wife Ms. Sadya Ali is also a graduate of Army Burn Hall College for Girls (ABHCG) and served as a faculty member in the 90’s.
