Military Career
Lieutenant General Muhammad Zafar Iqbal is a three-star general in the Pakistan Army.
He is currently as Commander of the Army Air Defence Command (AADC) in Rawalpindi. In March 2020, Brigadier Zafar Iqbal was promoted as Major General.
AADC is a military combative formation tasked with the air defence of strategic assets from foreign aerial threats.
On September 2022, he was appointed the national coordinator of the National Flood Response and Coordination Centre (NFRCC) formed to deal with the devastating floods.
In October 2022, Major General Muhammad Zafar Iqbal was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General.
He is the younger brother of Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha, Vice Chancellor of University of Education (UOE), Lahore.
