Pakistani companies invested in the energy sector of Ghana: Shahid Rasheed Butt
Honorary Consul General of Ghana Shahid Rasheed Butt has said that Ghana is the fastest growing economy in the world which offers matchless incentives to foreign investors.
He said that Pakistani companies have invested in the energy sector of Ghana and they are getting good returns while other sectors like mining, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, services, and manufacturing are open to them.
The consul general informed to the business community that the currency of Ghana is stable, the trade deficit is non-existent while inflation is at single-digit which has made it a favorable country for investment.
We will ensure that the two sides identify areas of cooperation and business investments aimed at mutual benefit and bringing people of both countries closer.
Presently China has the highest number of investment projects registered with Ghanaian institutions, followed by India, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Turkey, Mauritania, and France, he informed.
Business man, Shahid Rasheed Butt said that according to the IMF Ghana’s economy is to grow at a rate of 8.8 percent while last year it was sixth in the world with a 5.6 percent growth rate.
He said that the policy of giving agricultural land to foreign investors is intact and giving dividends and the country which is the second-largest exporter of cocoa is struggling to become the leading exporter of the product.
