Mian Aslam Iqbal announced to establish furniture city on 200 acres land

Provincial Minister for Industries & Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal announced to establish furniture city on 200 acres land near Chiniot. This initiative will create more than 50 thousand job opportunities and will help to stabilize furniture industry. Furniture makers will be given plots on subsidized rates to set up furniture making units in this city. It is the need of the hour to enhance export of furniture and government will provide every possible support in this regard. He announced this while addressing inaugural ceremony of 11th Interior Expo at Expo Centre Johar Town which was organized by Pakistan Furniture Council. Chairman FEDMIC Mian Kashif, CEO FEDMIC Aamir Saleemi and other representatives of the furniture council were present on the occasion. After the inauguration, Provincial Minister visited various stalls set up in the exhibition.

He appreciated the quality of furniture repaired at local level. He congratulated organizers of the Expo and said that such exhibitions are helpful to promote local production. He said that proposal of furniture makers will be welcomed for enhancing export of furniture. While answering the questions of media, Provincial Minister for Information & Culture Mian Aslam Iqbal has said that some changes are occur in federal cabinet but there is no such thing in provincial cabinet. Making change in cabinet is the right of Chief Minister Punjab. He said that the meeting of Speaker Punjab Assembly with Chief Minister Punjab is the routine matter in a democratic system.

He said, PTI government has taken solid steps to provide relief to the masses. All price control magistrates in the province are made fully activate and Rs 38 crore fines have been imposed on illegal profiteers. Later on Provincial Minister also inaugurated Print Park 2019 exhibition and also visited various stalls. Earlier, Provincial Minister also inaugurated Asghar Hospital in Samanabad and visited various wards of the hospital and inspected medical facilities there.
