Provincial Minister for Industries and Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal visited Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry today and met with President Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Irfan, Vice President Mian Zahid Javed and other office-bearers.
Aslam Iqbal congratulated newly elected leadership of LCCI and hoped that new youth leadership will play their effective role to escalate the process of industrialization.
He further said that industrialists and traders hold the position of backbone in order to strengthen national economy and their due problems will be resolved on priority basis.
PTI government will welcome proposals and recommendations of LCCI to expedite the process of industrialization, he added.
President LCCI Sheikh Irfan has said that Punjab government has taken concrete steps to promote business opportunities in the province and we are ready to extend every possible cooperation to government for the promotion of industries.
Aslam Iqbal while talking on this occasion has said that country has come out of economic crisis and national economy is advancing towards stability and will bring good news for the people next year. Projects amounting to Rs. 9.5 billion are being launched for the promotion of small industries. Programmers for provision of loans amounting to Rs. six billion to the skilled youth to initiate their business have also been approved. Skilled youth will also be granted loans up to Rs. 30 lac to launch their business and will also be imparted training for initiating their business, he stated.
With the provision of loans cottage industry will be revived and restored in 36 districts of the province in coming three years. Cottage industry revival project will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Punjab during this current week.
Prime Minister Imran Khan will inaugurate Allama Iqbal Industrial City during the mid of December, he maintained.
PTI government will overcome self-created price-hike with the cooperation of chambers and industrialists across the province.
Aslam Iqbal further stated that prices of essential items have been fixed in consultations with the stakeholders and no one will be allowed to act according to his own will.
Country cannot tread on the path of progress and prosperity without promoting industries and increasing exports.
Present government is paying special attention on enhancing exports and promoting the process of industrialization, concluded Mian Aslam Iqbal.
