The Sindh government has signed loan agreements worth a total of $1.98 billion with the World Bank (WB) in Islamabad on Tuesday.

On the Instructions of Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, Local Government Secretary Roshan Shaikh signed soft loan agreement for the CLICK, KWSSIP projects while Secretary Transport Ghulam Abbas Detho signed the agreement for the Yellow Line project on behalf of the provincial government.

Under the agreement, $24 million were given for the Competitive and Livable City of Karachi (CLICK) project, and $100 million for the Karachi Water and Sewerage Services Improvement Program (KWSSIP) and $380 million for the Karachi Mobility Project (Yellow Line project).

The other three phases would be $500 million each, a total of $1.

Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Hammad Azhar, Country Director WB Illangovan and Secretary Economic Affairs Division Noor Muhammad also attended the ceremony.
