Petrol prices in Pakistan are determined by federal government of Pakistan on the recommendation of (OGRA) Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority. OGRA revises Petrol, Light Diesel, High Speed Diesel, Kerosene oil and other petroleum product prices on monthly basis.
For the month of February 2020, the OGRA had recommended the Petroleum Division to increase the prices of petroleum related products.
The federal government has declined the advice of OGRA and decided to keep the price of petroleum products and kerosene unchanged.
Earlier OGRA has sent recommendations and moved its working paper to the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division) to reduce the price of petrol by 6 paisas. However, the authority has suggested an increase in the prices of high-speed diesel and light diesel oil by Rs2.47 and Rs1.10, respectively..
The federal government has decided against reducing prices, which means petrol will be available for Rs116.60 per litre, high-speed diesel for Rs127.26 light diesel for Rs84.51, and kerosene oil for Rs99.45

The Petroleum Prices in Pakistan are changed on monthly basis due to the change in rate in international market. Petrol Rate in Pakistan depend on various factors which include; economic conditions, globally transformation in oil and gas, political instability and etc.
(OGRA) Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority recommends the federal government about the Petrol rates, light Speed Diesel, High Speed Diesel, and Kerosene oil. Apart from that the prices are determined as per the area or region.
