SAVDEX-2020 to begin at Expo Center Lahore

The second edition of “Suppliers & Vendors Defense Exhibition SAVDEX-2020”, in collaboration with Defence Export Promotion Organization (DEPO) and the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry, will be held at the Expo Center Lahore from February 27 to 29th.

It was revealed by Brig. Syed Ali Ammar Haider and the LCCI President Irfan Iqbal Sheikh while addressing a Press Conference regarding SAVDEX 2020 at LCCI on Monday. The LCCI Senior Vice President Ali Hussam Asghar, Vice President Mian Zahid Jawaid Ahmed, Commodore Tariq Mahmood, and LCCI Executive Committee members were also present.

Brig. Syed Ali Ammar Haider and LCCI President Irfan Iqbal Sheikh said that SAVDEX is an effort towards the realization of Public-Private partnership and collaboration in the defense manufacturing industry of Pakistan.

They said that the Exhibition will serve as a bridge between defense industry entrepreneurs, traders, R&D Specialists, Financial experts, startups and policymakers for capability enhancement and cost-effective businesses, they added.

They said that the event will be attended by ministers, cabinet members, members of the standing committees, foreign diplomats, senior military leadership, public and private sector defence industry stakeholders, entrepreneurs, defence suppliers, vendors, startups of various universities, members of various chambers of commerce of Pakistan, along with large number of media personnel. They said defense export policy is on the way, We want to produce more at the local level and enhance our production capacity in the private sector.

We also want to export defense production in the international market as well. SAVDEX become a bridge to the public and private sectors. We promote and give facilities to private entrepreneurs in this exhibition. We also give a registration facility at this level as well, they added.

Commodore Tariq Mahmood said that Defence Export Promotion Organization (DEPO), is committed to promoting defence production potential of the public as well private sector industry of Pakistan.
