KARACHI: Gold prices have appreciated again across Pakistan following the increase in the global market.
During trading in the bullion market, the price of gold increased by $23, after which the price reached $1909 per ounce.
The negative effects of the rise in the international market were also felt in the local barter markets across Pakistan.
According to Muhammad Arshad, chairman of the All Pakistan Jewelers Manufacturers Welfare Association, after the rise in the international market, gold prices in Pakistan rose by Rs 400 and Rs 326 per tola and 10 grams, respectively.
After the recent increase, the price of gold per towel reached Rs. 112,100 while the price per ten grams reached Rs. 96,091.
