ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Corporate Restructuring Company Limited (PCRCL) chief executive officer Laqa Sarwar seeks government’s support for the revival of sick units.

Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue Shaukat Tarin presided over a meeting on the revival of sick and closed units at the Finance Division on Thursday.

The PCRCL CEO gave a presentation on the performance of his organisation and initiatives taken for the revival of sick units, businesses and clearing the bank balance-sheets.

He also apprised the meeting on the impediments in the way of the successful operations of PCRCL and the efforts under way in the restructuring of sick units.

The adviser supported PCRC in its endeavours for the revival of the sick and closed units and revitalising the economy.

He stressed for carrying out structural changes for viable working of PCRCL by reviewing its performance, capacity-building of the management and financially strengthening the organisation.

The adviser also assured his full cooperation and support to PCRCL for the revival of the sick units and making them profitable contributors for the economy of Pakistan.

Federal Minister for Industries and Production Khusro Bakhtiar, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood, finance, industries and production secretaries, Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) chairman, SBP deputy governor, Utility Stores Corporation managing director and senior officers participated in the meeting.
