After reports yesterday that Twitter owner Elon Musk is determined to move forward with integrating payments into the social network, the Dogecoin price has risen by 8% today, rising to $0.092839.

DOGE is now up 11% in a fortnight and 32% since the announcement, with the market expecting the meme token to be one of the primary beneficiaries of Twitter’s crypto play.

The market has long anticipated that Twitter will accept dogecoin payments, and if this expectation is realised, there is no doubt that DOGE will skyrocket.

However, the latest reports make no explicit mention of dogecoin, and with Twitter reportedly developing its own digital currency, there’s no guarantee that the social network will embrace DOGE.

DOGE’s chart clearly shows that the altcoin is currently experiencing a breakout rally, with its relative strength index (purple) rising to 70 as a result of rising momentum.

At the same time, its 30-day moving average (red) has surpassed its 200-day moving average (blue), indicating that a breakout of indeterminate duration is currently taking place.
