In a promising development for the agricultural sector, the first four months of the current financial year have witnessed a substantial year-on-year increase in tractor sales, according to data released by the All Pakistan Automobile Manufacturers Association. From July to October, the country recorded a remarkable 56% increase in the sale of AGTL (Allied Engineering Tractors Limited) tractors, with a total of 7,105 units compared to 4,561 units in the same period of the previous financial year. Similarly, MTL (Millat Tractors Limited) tractors saw an impressive 117% surge, with sales reaching 10,191 units, up from 4,697 units in the corresponding period last year.

October alone saw 2,202 units of AGTL and 3,004 units of MTL tractors sold, representing a marginal 5% and 4% decrease from September, respectively. Despite this slight dip, the overall growth remains substantial, highlighting the sustained demand for agricultural machinery in the country.
