Chicken prices surge in Quetta
Lahore has experienced a slight decrease in chicken meat prices, with broiler chicken meat now priced at Rs 416 per kg, down by Rs 2 from the previous rate of Rs 418 per kg.
This adjustment reflects changes in both wholesale and retail prices for live broiler chickens as well.
The new wholesale rate is set at Rs 276 per kg, while the retail rate has been fixed at Rs 287 per kg, both reflecting a Rs 1 decrease from previous rates of Rs 277 per kg wholesale and Rs 288 per kg retail.
Despite these reductions in chicken meat prices, the cost of farm eggs remains stable at Rs 250 per dozen.
This adjustment in poultry prices provides some relief to consumers amidst fluctuating food costs. The slight decrease, although not substantial, is a welcome change for many households and food businesses in Lahore.
