In line with the orders of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has announced a new extended due date for paying the electricity bill to provide relief to consumers, who are upset about higher power tariffs.
A spokesperson for the distribution company announced the development, stating that the deadline for payment of bills has been extended by 10 days. He said LESCO has extended the deadline for paying July’s bills by 10 days, and no late payment surcharge will be imposed on customers.
Last week, PM Shehbaz had directed the extension of the payment date for electricity bills by 10 days. In this regard, the Power Division also issued a notification for all electricity distribution companies.
The relief will be provided for the bills for July and August 2024.
LESCO provides services in five main areas—Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Okara, and Nankana—of Punjab province. So, all the consumers in the jurisdiction can benefit from the extension in the due date.
He said LESCO has extended the deadline for paying July’s bills by 10 days. He also informed that with this extension, the penalties imposed on consumers have been waived.
The LESCO consumers in Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Sheikhupura, and Nankana can get their electricity bills from the official website of LESCO. Following are the steps to download the bill:
– Go to the LESCO website
– Click the customer bill button on the Main Page
– Enter your reference number or customer ID
– Click the customer menu
