It’s finally time to bid farewell to the legendary Suzuki Bolan as Pak Suzuki has decided to discontinue the minivan, replacing it with a new model. Over the past 35 years, the Suzuki Bolan enjoyed solid sales and was appreciated for its versatility, serving both as a multi-passenger vehicle and for commercial use.
As Pakistan’s automotive landscape evolves, the Bolan is the latest model to be phased out, following the Suzuki Mehran, which can still be seen on the roads.
Images of the final batch of Suzuki Bolan surfaced online, sparking nostalgia among Pakistanis who grew up with this vehicle. The last chassis number was marked 01151691. Pakistan’s oldest automaker, also the maker of the Bolan, confirmed the end of production for the 800cc ‘Carry Dabba.’
The decision to retire the Bolan comes due to its outdated design and lack of safety features. With declining sales, consumer demand has shifted toward modern alternatives like the Changan Karvaan.
Suzuki Every to Replace Bolan
Suzuki earlier mentioned that Every will replace Bolan, and one of its recent model was unveiled at a recent auto show.
The launch of Every models faced delays due to import challenges and it is expected to launch in mid October.
