Petrol Prices in Pakistan Set to Change for December

ISLAMABAD: The federal government is expected to revise petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan during the upcoming fortnightly review for December 2024.

The government is set to announce the price changes on the night of November 30, with the new rates taking effect from December 1 to 15.

Reports indicate that the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) may recommend an increase in petrol prices for next month due to a recent surge in global oil prices.

Expected Petrol Price Hike According to sources, petrol prices in Pakistan could rise by Rs10 to Rs15 per litre for the first half of December 2024, in response to the global price increase.

The final decision on the price adjustment will be made by the federal government after considering various factors such as available stock, revenue generation, and international oil prices.

Current Petrol Prices As of November 2024, the price of petrol in Pakistan is Rs248.38 per litre, while high-speed diesel is priced at Rs255.14 per litre.
