ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani rupee depreciated by 07 paisa against the US dollar on Tuesday in interbank trading, closing at Rs278.23 compared to the previous day’s rate of Rs278.16.
According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the dollar’s buying and selling rates in the open market stood at Rs277.75 and Rs279.25, respectively.
The Euro also gained ground, appreciating by 49 paisa to close at Rs292.60, up from the prior day’s rate of Rs292.11, as per the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
The Japanese yen remained steady, ending the day unchanged at Rs1.82. Meanwhile, the British Pound rose by 63 paisa, reaching Rs355.11 compared to the earlier value of Rs354.48.
Minor increases were also noted in the exchange rates of the Emirates Dirham and the Saudi Riyal, which climbed by 02 and 03 paisa to close at Rs75.75 and Rs74.04, respectively.
The fluctuations in the currency market reflect ongoing trends and adjustments influenced by regional and global financial dynamics.
