Gold prices in Pakistan soared to a new all-time high, mirroring international market movements.

The price of gold per tola surged by Rs1,500, reaching Rs309,500, while the rate for 10 grams increased by Rs1,286, settling at Rs265,346, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

However, on the global front, gold prices experienced a slight dip as traders locked in profits following a series of record highs. Investors are now focusing on the upcoming US inflation report, which could play a crucial role in determining future price movements.

On the international front, gold prices reached record levels due to increased safe-haven demand amid concerns over US President Donald Trump’s tariff policies. Additional support came from rising investments in the world’s leading gold-backed exchange-traded fund.
