Thar Desert Train Safari Launched: Route, Ticket Prices & Details

The Sindh government has introduced the Thar Desert Train Safari, a unique tourism initiative designed to showcase the cultural heritage and scenic beauty of the region.

Route & Experience

The safari train will run from Karachi to Chhore, a town near Pakistan’s border with India. The journey will pass through Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas, offering passengers breathtaking views of Sindh’s landscape and culture.

Activities & Stay

Upon arrival at Chhor (Parchi Jeveri), tourists will enjoy a sunset view, bonfire, live music, and a traditional dinner. Overnight stays will be available onboard the train, in campsites, or at local resorts.

Ticket Price & Booking

According to the Sindh Tourism Development Corporation, ticket prices start at Rs30,000 per adult. Passengers will get to experience camping, cultural performances, and authentic Sindhi cuisine. Officials have confirmed that all tickets for the first journey have already been sold out.

Official Statement

Sindh’s Tourism Minister stated that the Thar Desert Train Safari would provide travelers with an opportunity to explore the rich culture and history of Sindh’s Thar region. Earlier, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah mentioned that the train safari would also allow visitors to discover historical and ancient sites in Sindh.
