
Gold price hits new record high
Gold prices in Pakistan hit a new record on Tuesday, following an increase in international rates. The price of gold per tola rose by Rs2,550, reaching Rs317,350.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10-gram gold also increased by Rs2,186, now selling at Rs272,076.
This surge comes after Monday’s price hike of Rs1,100, which had already set a record at Rs314,800 per tola.
On the global market, gold prices climbed to $3,022 per ounce, reflecting a $25 increase for the day.
Meanwhile, silver prices also went up by Rs25, reaching Rs3,555 per tola.
