Mercedes-Benz is recalling 324,000 vehicles because of a water-intrusion problem that might cause stalling.
Mercedes-Benz ML and GLE sport utility cars from the model years 2012 to 2020 are affected by the notification. According to the company, only 1% of vehicles are anticipated to be impacted.
The German carmaker claimed that the check engine light, a wet carpet in the back of the car, the sound of water sloshing about in the spare tyre wheel well, or any combination of these could alert drivers to the problem.
The letter states that owners will be informed of the recall by February 21, 2023, and dealers have already been advised of it. Owners will be prompted to bring their cars in for examination.
