The number of confirmed novel coronavirus also known as COVID-19 cases in Pakistan has passed the toll of 100,000.

According to the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) Punjab remains the worst hit province of Pakistan due to the novel coronavirus outbreak in the country.

Cases Toll:

Currently the country has reported 100,688 cases. More 4182 infections emerged country wide in the past 24 hours. Sindh has become the worst-hit province by the covid-19 pandemic followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Baluchistan. Till now 38108 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 37090 in Sindh, 13,001 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 6221 in Baluchistan, 4,979 in Islamabad, 927 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 361 in Azad Kashmir.

According to the national dashboard, 656 new cases were reported in Islamabad and 30 cases each were recorded in GB and AJK in the last 24 hours.

Death Toll:

Pakistan’s death toll due to the dread virus has passed 2000. After 44 more deaths from novel coronavirus in one day, the nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 2,018 .

Recovery Toll:

741 people recovered from the deadly coronavirus in the past 24 hours bringing the recovery toll at 34056.  Pakistan has so far conducted 683,608 coronavirus tests and 23,100 in last 24 hours.

Learn to live with virus:

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Health Dr Zafar Mirza said our psychologists are working to bring behavioral changes so that we start living with the virus as we don’t know that how long we will have to live with the virus. “We have introduced smart lockdowns and ensuring contact tracing. In Pakistan over 700 areas are under smart lockdown.”
