More 2,101 people have recovered from the coronavirus in Pakistan bringing the national tally of recoveries to 208,030.

According to the  government’s Covid-19 portal, The portal shows that 1,481 patients are in critical condition.

Province Wise Cases

Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.

Till now 113,553 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh,

90,444 in Punjab,

32,243 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,

11,441 in Balochistan,

14,625 in Islamabad

1,868 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 1,922 in Azad Kashmir.

Punjab has reported 253 new Covid-19 cases, according to the government’s database on coronavirus

More than 66,000 people have recovered from the virus in the province.

Islamabad has reported 26 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, according to the government’s Covid-19 portal

Gilgit Baltistan has reported 19 additional cases while Azad Jammu and Kashmir recorded seven,

Islamabad also confirmed one more death from the virus while GB and AJK reported no additional fatalities.

Furthermore 2,090 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab,

2,019 in Sindh,

1,147 in KP,

133 in Balochistan,

160 in Islamabad,

The Punjab government has issued a notification regarding the enforcement of a smart lockdown in areas of Sialkot, Rawalpindi, Gujrat and Gujranwala till July 27.

According to the notification, all markets, restaurants, malls and offices in the areas will remain closed while grocery shops will be allowed to open from 9am to 7pm. Pharmacies and medical services will continue to be open 24 hours a day.

The areas being placed under smart lockdown are as follows:

  • Sialkot: Chak Kalan Ladhar and Town Ghazipur
  • Rawalpindi: W-3 Wah Cantt, W-8 Wah Cantt and UC Saray e Kala
  • Gujrat: Muhallah Kalapura, Chah Taringh, Gujrat City and Village Madina Sayedan
  • Gujranwala: Nandipur Town, Aroop and Qila Didar Singh
