Five more people lost the battle against coronavirus and 162 people got infected by the novel virus in Sindh during the past 24 hours.

Sindh Chief Minister said in a statement on the COVID-19 situations that five people have lost their lives due to coronavirus, taking the death toll to 2430 in Sindh.

He further said 8641 people were tested today, out of which 162 declared corona positive, making the total count of 130,698 infected people in the province.

On August 24, Sindh reported 172 new coronavirus cases and 6 deaths over the last 24 hours resulting in the number of infections in the province to 128,456 and fatalities to 2,373.

As many as 7,426 tests were conducted during this period, out of which 172 turned out to be positive and 266 patients recuperated stated Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.

According to the issued report, 76 of the 172 cases were reported from the city of Karachi whereas other cases came from various other parts Sindh.
