According to the statistics of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) released on Saturday, the pandemic has claimed 82 more lives and infected 2,184 more people during the past 24 hours.
The death toll reached to 10,258, whereas, 1,745 patients have defeated coronavirus in a single day. However, 2,264 people are in critical condition.
The total active cases in Pakistan is 35,130.
The national tally of cases according to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), in the country currently stands at 484,362.
The details further revealed that 2,745 people admitted across the country to 625 hospitals. Meanwhile, 301 corona patients are on ventilators fighting for their life.
During this period, a total of 38,229 tests were conducted across Pakistan. Overall 438,974 people have recovered from the deadly disease so far.
On the hand, the Sindh Government decided to set up the Corona Vaccine Center at Expo Center Karachi.
In this regard, Provincial Health Minister Dr. Azra Pechuho visited the Expo Center and reviewed the arrangements. On this occasion, Dr. Azra Pechuho said that the cold chain and other arrangements will be finalized soon.
Meanwhile, Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid expressed the hope that coronavirus vaccine may reach Pakistan by February this year.
She was addressing the oath-taking ceremony of new office-bearers of Pakistan Medical Association organized at the Cosmopolitan Club in Lahore. Dr Yasmin Rashid said the government has reserved Rs 14 billion to fight the pandemic.
