Sindh’s Vaccination Numbers Sharply Increased Over Last Few Days: Murtaza Wahab

Sindh government spokesperson Murtaza Wahab on Sunday paid a visit to various COVID-19 vaccination centres in Karachi.

Murtaza Wahab also reviewed the facilities available at the COVID-19 vaccination centre in District South where he was also briefed by the medical staff.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that Sindh Govt has opened nine more COVID-19 vaccination centres in Karachi which will be operational 24 hours a day.

He further said that over 193,000 people were vaccinated across Sindh on Saturday and added that with the opening of 24-hour vaccination centres, more people will be able to get vaccinated.

In his tweet today, the Sindh spokesperson also hailed the support of the residents for their sincere support as the number of vaccination has sharply increased over the last few days in Sindh.

AJK Reports Highest Daily Rise In Covid Cases

Azad Jammu and Kashmir has again reported the highest daily rise in Covid-19 cases since the pandemic began in Pakistan last year.

Over the past 24 hours, 390 new infections have been detected in the region, taking the tally to 24,891.

This is also the third consecutive day that over 300 cases have been recorded in AJK, with 356 reported the previous day — the previous highest daily rise for AJK since the start of the pandemic.

The region has reported three coronavirus-related fatalities over the past 24 hours. The death toll from the disease now stands at 628.

Meanwhile, Islamabad and Gilgit-Baltistan have collectively reported 450 coronavirus cases and three deaths.
