Smart lockdown has been imposed by the Sindh government in several neighborhoods in Karachi’s Korangi in an attempt to control the rising coronavirus cases.

The strict lockdown is implemented on the movement of people living in these areas from September 9 to September 23.

Whereas, only grocery stores and pharmacies will remain open in these areas.

In order to buy necessities only one person will be allowed to leave the house.

It will be obligatory for them to carry their CNICs at all times.

All gatherings private and public have been banned.

The commissioners and assistant commissioners of the vicinities have been inculcated to guarantee the severe application of SOPs.

People violating lockdown rules will be punished.

In the past 24 hours, 3,689 new covid cases were reported across the country, while 83 people surrendered to the deadly virus.

Furthermore, over 300,000 vaccines were managed on Saturday.

The infection rate in the country has been recorded at 6.03%.
