Judicial remand of Rana Sanaullah extended for 14 days

PML-N leader Rana Sanaullah’s judicial remand has been extended again for 14 days.

According to details, Rana Sanaullah’s judicial remand in the drug smuggling case has been extended after the hearing at ANF court.

Rana Sanaullah’s wife and son-in-law were also present in the court. Whereas, Ex Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Iqbal joined the court to express solidarity with Rana Sanaullah.

During the case hearing, Sanaullah’s lawyer argued that a federal minister had mentioned a video which he believed should be presented in court.

An Anti-Narcotics Force court in Lahore on Saturday extended judicial remand of PML (N) MNA Rana Sanaullah for 14 days in a drugs smuggling case.

The court ordered Anti-Narcotics Force officials to produce him again on 28th of September.

In July, Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) claimed in the challan presented in court that Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah has confessed doing drug business.

According to the details, the Challan submitted by ANF in the court says that Rana Sanaullah has confessed that he is involved in smuggling of drugs within and outside the country as well.

According to the Challan, ANF stopped Rana Sanaullah near Sukheki. Upon enquiring about drugs, Rana Sanaullah opened a blue suitcase and confirmed presence of heroine.

Guards of Rana Sanaullah also agitated against ANF officials and threatened them of severe consequences. A 9mm Beretta pistol was also recovered from Rana Sanaullah, the Challan stated.

According to the challan, Rana Sanaullah admitted being involved in drug smuggling. After becoming law minister, contacts were made with Afghan drug smugglers and Rana Sanaullah helped supply drugs overseas.

Rana Sanaullah also admitted that his car was never checked that’s why drugs were smuggled in his private vehicle.

Rana Sanaullah was arrested on 2 July while travelling from Faisalabad to Lahore. ANF while intercepting his movement also claimed to recover narcotics from his car.
