Sub-campuses of public sector universities being established, Senate
The Senate of Pakistan stated today that the revenue of National Highway Authority (NHA) has increased to 25.80 billion rupees over the last sixteen months.
According to the sources, Minister for Communication Murad Saeed informed the House during Question Hour that the amount includes recoveries of 11.90 billion rupees.
Minister for Communication also said that toll tax has not been increased by the present government on the motorways.
The Minister for Education and Professional Training, Shafqat Mahmood said that the House that sub-campuses of public sector universities are being established across the country including six in Balochistan.
The House today passed The Naya Pakistan Housing and Development Authority Bill, 2019.
The bill was moved by Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Azam Khan Swati.
Earlier, President Arif Alvi has urged the universities to impart education to youth keeping in view the demand of market and industries.
He was addressing an international conference on Assurance Quality in Islamabad on Wednesday
He said our universities should look at cooperation with the industries in order to produce a market oriented workforce as is the case in other countries.
President said there is also need to develop a mechanism that ensures effective evaluation of students as well as the faculty.
He said the capacity of teachers should be built keeping in view the latest technology.
