National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS), Rawalpindi has postponed all the remaining MBBS and BDS exams for 2020.
A press statement issued by the university’s management read that exams have been postponed for all its constituent and affiliated colleges.
NUMS said the decision was taken due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic in the country.
The new dates for exams will be announced later by NUMS.
NUMS conducted an entry test for (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) MBBS and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) session 2020 for its 13 medical and five dental constituent and affiliated colleges across the country and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) simultaneously two months ago.
It was Pakistan’s first nationwide entry test for medical and dental institutions without involving any testing services from outside.
Around 50,000 candidates had appeared for the test this year, however, it will be mandatory for the successful candidates to pass the National Medical and Dental Colleges Admissions Test (MDCAT) as announced by Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC).
