Colorful fashion week kicked off in Japan’s capital, Tokyo with a modern twist on the traditional Japanese garments.

According to local media, fashionable costumes based on winter and autumn season were worn by the models who sparkled at the ramp walk.

Famous designers from around the world are participating in the Fashion Week.

The designers present their collections based on the winter and autumn seasons.

During the ramp walk, many models wore new costumes embellished by various popular designers.

Fashion Week highlights the traditional and cultural style of Japan, sources said.

According to the designers, the different costumes are made according to the Japanese traditional dress ‘kimono’.

The audience praised the efforts of the designers, whereas the fashion lovers were gathered in a very large amount at the fashion week.

“We are much fascinated by all the outfits introduced at the show”, the attendees said.

The attendees further added that all the designers made great effort at their displays and introduced the outfits according to the latest fashion.

Many women were so impressed with the collection that they intended to buy some immediately.

The fashion week which commenced from 14th October will continue till a week, local media said.

Earlier, Top Pakistani actress Mahira Khan walked the ramp at Paris Fashion Week for Karl Lagerfeld.

Dressed in a leather jacket, skinny black jeans and a white shirt with coiffed hair, Mahira was every inch the superstar on the ramp.

She was joined by US singer Camila Cabello, Indian actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, British actress Helen Mirren, US actors Eva Longoria and Amber Heard and many others.
