Nick Jonas sexually harassed by a fan during stage performance

A video of singer Nick Jonas being inappropriately touched by a fan has gone viral.

The incident reportedly took place at the Los Angeles leg of the Jonas Brothers’ ongoing Happiness Begins tour.

The video shows the brothers performing on a stage together, as one fan runs her hands up Nick’s legs from behind.

A member of the security staff can be seen reaching across the narrow platform and physically getting the fan to stop touching Nick. But despite his attempts, the fan continues to run her hands all over Nick.

At one point, the singer even turns around and swats the fan’s hands away.

Fans, however, are speaking out on their behalf. On social media, angry voices are asking who this woman is and calling for her to be brought to justice.

Many are discussing the incident as a fresh perspective on sexual harassment, sexual assault and misconduct, which have so preoccupied the national psyche in the last two years.

Later on, Nick Jonas thanked his fans on Twitter for hosting a successful concert, but did not mention the sexual harassment he faced during the concert.

The Jonas Brothers are currently out on their Happiness Begins Tour, and there are plenty more performances coming up.

The band is heading down to Mexico this weekend, and will return to the U.S. on Nov. 12 for a show in New Orleans, Louisiana.

They are scheduled to tour North America through Dec. 31, and then to start another run of shows in the U.K. on Jan. 29.
