The Super Bowl LIV halftime show will have some special moments for the audience as it will pay homage to Kobe Bryant.
The Super Bowl LIV halftime show will entertain the music lovers with more songs, more dancers on stage than ever.
It will also pay homage to the legendary basketball player this Sunday.
Jennifer Lopez and Shakira, during a press conference in Miami, discussed some of what they have planned for Sunday’s 12-minute performance.
American superstar, Lopez, said there will be a “heartfelt” moment when someone asked whether she will honour Bryant.
The music sensation, Shakira, said: “We’ll all be remembering Kobe on Sunday and celebrating life and diversity in this country.”
The singer adds: “I’m sure he’d be very proud to see the message we are trying to convey on stage that day.”
Kobe Bryant died last Sunday in a helicopter crash along with his 13-year old daughter in Calabasas, California.
Earlier, the 2020 Grammys kicked off Sunday with an emotional tribute to the late NBA legend Kobe Bryant.
Kobe Bryant’s sudden death in a helicopter crash left Los Angeles in tears on music’s marquee night.
The star-studded event’s top nominee Lizzo owned the stage at the Staples Center and laid down the event’s overarching theme, ‘Tonight is for Kobe.’
The twerking Lizzo then handed the torch to host Alicia Keys, who offered another love letter to Bryant’s memory.
She said, “We’re all feeling crazy sadness right now. Earlier today, Los Angeles, America and the whole wide world lost a hero.”
“And we’re literally standing here heartbroken in the house that Kobe Bryant built,” said Keys.
She paid tribute to Kobe before launching into a soulful rendition of “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye” with the group Boyz II Men.
