Popular and adventurous reality show “Champions by Waqar Zaka” is in talks these days and has got overwhelming feedbacks from both national and international audiences through unique content.

If we hear the name of a reality show, terms that come in our minds are stunts, performances, fun activities, music, dance and so on. It is because national and international shows have shaped our perspectives.

The youth-based reality show is hosted by the stunning Waqar Zaka whereas the show airs on BOL entertainment.

The show faced criticism at the beginning because of distinctive content, but Waqar’s awesome hosting and appreciable management make it gain great significance.  In most of the episodes, we see different tasks assigned to the participants. However, we noticed something unique in a recent episode.

What was the segment?

Waqar Zaka introduced a religious segment in the episode in which he asked few questions regarding Islamic knowledge and rituals. It is because Waqar said in the show, “Champion will be the one who will understand the religion well.”

What were the questions & responses?

The questions asked from the participants were quite general and basic. They included names of months of the yearly Islamic calendar, the purpose of celebrating Ramzan and the meaning of “Taqwa”. We know that all the participants there are Muslims. But shockingly, they did not answer the questions well! We also got surprised when we get to know that one of the participants was a Hafiz-e-Quran!

The fact is that we are Muslims, and we tend to learn such fundamental knowledge from our childhood. One reason behind this backwardness is that we have left our values behind to become “Modern”.

It was also a new thing that a controversial personality like Waqar Zaka can talk on such issues! He has introduced an exceptional way of educating Islamic values and rituals to the so-called “modern” youth of Pakistan.

Donation activity for Teen Hatti victims

This is not the only example of why “champions” are worth-watching. Recently, fire in Teen Hatti caused huge destruction. Waqar Zaka and the participants won the hearts when they completed a task to gather donations and provide aid to the victims of the Teen Hatti incident. This is the first time we have seen such acts of charity and goodwill in a reality show. Furthermore, this task also shows that the show is not fully scripted and is being aired with updated content.
