Disney Land shut down in America and France, stopped the release of major blockbusters because of deadly coronavirus fears.
Disney Land Management announced, that it is shutting down its theme parks in Florida, California and Paris and pull the releases of major blockbusters including Mulan over the coronavirus.
The parks among the largest theme parks in the world, each drawing thousands of visitors everyday.
They will remain shut at least until the end of March.
Disney spokesperson said “In an abundance of caution and in the best interest of our guests and employees, we are proceeding with the closure.”
No cases of the new coronavirus had been reported at Disneyland in California, the company said.
It did not say whether there were any cases at Disney World in Florida or at Disneyland Paris.
Disney will monitor the situation, and on-site hotels in California will remain open until Monday to give guests time to leave.
Disney-themed parks in Asia have also closed due to the COVID-19 illness, although its Shanghai resort partially reopened this month after closing in late January.
On the other hand Mount Everest now closed for climbers because of the fears of deadly coronavirus, Nepal Government announced.
Reuters reported that Nepal has closed all of its Himalayan peaks including Mount Everest this climbing season.
Nepal has eight of the world’s 14 highest mountains including Mount Everest, that more than four million dollars in permit fees for the world’s highest peak and other mountains every year.
Tourism Minister Yogesh Bhattarai said expeditions to all peaks in the March-May spring season suspended.
“Climbing this season closed,” Bhattarai told Reuters.
“It is as a precaution for that,” he added, when asked it its because of the coronavirus.
