A star-studded concert is being held to pay homage to the frontline workers handling coronavirus pandemic.

More than 100 artists are expected to perform at the show “The One World: Together At Home”. Artists including Billie Eilish and the Rolling Stones play live from their homes.

The proceeds created from the concert will be submitted to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for WHO.

However, Lady Gaga has made it clear that the event is an entertainment event and will give a message of solidarity. The concert is not a fundraising telethon.

American TV personalities Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, and Jimmy Fallon will be hosting the show whereas Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lopez, Chris Martin, Pharrell Williams, Rita Ora, Sam Smith, Elton John, and Paul McCartney will be featured.

Lady Gaga will also perform at the concert. She was in the organizing team.

The Global Citizen movement and the World Health Organization have run this 8-hour event. The concert will be live-streamed and broadcast on TV.

Global Citizen said in a statement, “We may be apart right now, but coming together has never been more important,”

In addition to this, the concert will also be narrating the real-life stories of nurses and doctors fighting against coronavirus pandemic.

The show commences with a six-hour pre-concert at 19:00 BST on Saturday. After that, the main two-hour TV will be broadcast at 01:00 BST on Sunday.

The event will be shown live on Amazon Prime Video, Facebook, Instagram, TuneIn, Twitch, Twitter and YouTube; with Apple, Music, Apple TV, and Apple Beats 1 joining for the main show.
