As the protests against racism have sparked in the US following Geroge Floyd’s death, Hollywood’s biggest star Angelina Jolie has shared how racism affected her family.

While giving an interview to one of the famous international magazines, Jolie bashed anti-black racism which she said has effected her daughter Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt.

Being a white mother to a black daughter, Jolie revealed that she has the racial privilege that her daughter does not have.

The Tomb Raider actress said,

“A system that protects me but might not protect my daughter – or any other man, woman or child in our country based on skin color – is intolerable,”

She went on to say,

“We need to progress beyond sympathy and good intentions to laws and policies that actually address structural racism and impunity.”

Recently, the Maleficent actress donated $200,000 to NAACP legal fund on her daughter’s birthday to support the struggle against racial inequality.
