Actress Saba Qamar talks about depression and mental illness in her latest YouTube video. The video titled ‘Kab Samjho Gey?” is written and observed by the actress herself.
Qamar captioned the video,
“Aur Kitni Jaanein loo Gey ?? Kab Samjho Gey ???”
The Baaghi actress has always been vocal about the country’s social issues and always advocate for breaking taboos.
In a six-minute video, Saba asked her audience,
“How many more lives will we take? Anum Tanoli, Rushaan Farrukh, Quratulain Ali Khan, Sushant Singh Rajput, and who knows how many more like them whose hearts were so sensitive?”
She further added,
“When will we regard human beings as human beings? Why do we discuss someone’s appearance? And when we can’t find faults in appearances, we start targeting their personalities. Why do we consider others beneath us? Why do we look at them like they are lesser beings? Sometimes their status, sometimes their voice, and sometimes make jokes on their existence?”
The Cheekh actress went on to ask,
“Have you ever thought how one phrase, one sentence, one troll can ruin someone’s entire life? Why do we interfere in their private lives? Think of others as our properties? And say whatever bitterness is in our hearts without thinking twice?”
The video is impactful as Qamar criticizes society-standardized virulent actions and also mentions other people’s emotionally exploited problems due to the labels associated with it. In the video, she also calls out the hypocrisy people show as they teach the generations to come to the basic moral principles.
