I never want to fat-shame my wife, says Agha Ali

The newly-wed Agha Ali and Hina Altan got bash by people over insensitive comments made on a local morning show.

During the interview, the host asked the celebrity couple if Agha had asked something from Hina before tying the knot, to which Hina replied,

“Right before our wedding, Agha showed me a picture on his phone and just asked me one thing. He said, ‘If you ever get this fat…”

Agha instantly cut her off and said,

“Before our marriage, I only asked for one promise. I said that I don’t want anything else except this one promise.”

He then asked her wife to share the ‘promise.

“Please don’t get fat.”

The insensitive comment by Agha Ali outraged the netizens and started to criticize him for “body shaming”. As the matter was getting off the hand, the actor instantly clarified his statement through an Instagram story.

He wrote,

“I asked my wife not to gain unnecessary weight. She is an actress and needs to look fit as no producer or director or writer would like to have an overweight heroine”.

He concluded by telling his fans to do a love session tonight so that he can reply to all these “good for nothing idiots”.
