Sad news for fans as Universal Pictures is planning to end its Fast & Furious core film franchise with two final movies.
The saga that began around 20 years ago is finally going to be closed. The movies have remained top blockbusters for years.
As per the sources, Justin Lin, who is in post-production on F9, is likely to direct the final two movies of the series. He has directed the Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, Fast & Furious, Fast Five, Fast and Furious 6, and Fast 9.
Until now, wight super hit action films of the mega-series have been released so far. The ninth one, Fast9, is scheduled to be released on April 2, 2021. It was scheduled to hit theatres in May this year, but the release was postponed amid a coronavirus outbreak.
Stars including Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Lucas Black, Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron, and Sung Kang back have teamed up for Fast 9. Superstar John Cena is also expected to join the cast.
