Kourtney Kardashian faced heavy backlash from her fans for endorsing merchandise for brother-in-law Kanye West’s election campaign.
Kourtney, the reality TV star, recently put an Instagram story where she was seen wearing a baseball cap with “VOTE KANYE” written on it.
She also shared a link to West’s merchandise website where her followers could get the same cap.
Fans thought Kourtney’s endorsement of Kanye’s election campaign to be downright embarrassing and slammed the star on Twitter.
“Kourtney Kardashian posting an insta story to her 102 million followers encouraging them to vote for Kanye is one of the most irresponsible, egregious and reckless uses of that family’s platform that I’ve ever seen,” wrote a Twitter user.
Kanye West is running for the upcoming US election 2020. He will compete as a write-in candidate in most states.
Earlier in July, West had formally announced his intention to run in the Presidential election campaign.
The American rapper had also released an advertisement for his presidential campaign.
His advertisement came just 22 days before the forthcoming Election Day.
Kanye shared a video on his Twitter account. In the video, he discussed how Americans should work to strengthen their religion and faith.
“America. What is America’s destiny? What is best for our nation? Our people? What is just? True justice? We have to think about all these things together as a people. To contemplate our future, to live up to our dream, we must have a vision. We as a people will revive our nation’s commitment to faith, to what our constitution calls the free exercise of religion, including, of course, prayer,” he said. “Through prayer, faith can be restored.”
