Social activist and wife of famous former Pakistani cricketer, Shaniera Akram, has once again raised another important issue via Twitter.
In her latest tweet, Shaniera highlighted another issue, and this time it’s “education”.
Taking to her Twitter account on Wednesday, she wrote,
“Walking past a house in defence this morning. A little boy about 8yo opened the gates for a car leaving for school with a kid the same age.”
She went on to write,
“The child in the car waved to the little house boy as they drove away. In better times, both children would have been left for school together.”
Her tweet started to receive appreciation from the netizens as many said that only her voice could get instant response from the concerned authorities.
U raised very important issue & your voice is now become vibrant a fast as you are on treadmill.
This need to be discuss more, not only children working, the ladies and small girls coming to work in big homes of DHA from nearby slum of Qayumabad & the harassment to them also.— Nadeem Ahmed (@sna2964) October 14, 2020
Such an important issue. But in the list of priorities is simply overlooked. Pity the parents in dire poverty who feel there is no option but to send their kids to work in a nice house and get opportunities not otherwise available. Schools must be made to be a better option.

AdvertisementMrs. Akram this is the real misery for #Pakistan Honestly whenever I see children as domestic help, laborer or beggar my heart cries. I belong to middle class family but still I believe can be done & must be done for them. Some kind of innovative idea of sending them school.
