Simon Cowell’s recovery after life changing bike accident

Simon Cowell’s friends brought to our knowledge that the star was close to being paralyzed and is fortunate to be recovering after his ‘life changing’ bike accident.

It is reported that the music mogul got a wake-up call ever since he fell off his electric bike in August which made him realize he’s not indestructible.

A friend of Cowell’s said, “He definitely no longer feels invincible and this has been a wake up for him about his health and lifestyle.”

The incident occurred before it is believed that he was reconsidering his take on marriage and thinking of popping the question to Lauren, 43.

Sources say, “The fall was of life-changing seriousness. Some in his circle think it might even make him think again about making a commitment of marriage to Lauren. ‘Never say never’.”

It will be a long road to recovery as it’s taking longer than expected. The 61 year old is now off his powerful painkillers after six weeks of being in pain. He had broken his back in 3 places and missed his spinal cord by 1cm. A mental rod was inserted into his spine after breaking his vertebrae for which he had to undergo six hours of surgery. He stayed at Saint John’s hospital in Santa Monica.

It was revealed in the summer that Simon would not be working for weeks as intense physiotherapy and rest is required to help him recover fully.

Simon had kept a low profile since the accident, but he addressed his 11.3 m followers saying, “Some good advice… If you buy an electric trail bike, read the manual before you ride it for the first time.

“I have broken part of my back. Thank you to everyone for your kind messages.”
