Popular K-Pop band BTS has achieved another milestone as their ‘Dynamite‘ has landed at No.5 on Billboard’s Pop Songs radio chart.
BTS has made it the very fist time to rank the top five of Billboard with their hit Dynamite.
Also, it is the highest ranking for any Korean act after Psy’s Gangnam Style hit at No. 10 around eight years back in 2012.
‘Dynamite‘, released in August 2020, is also the first video to achieve 100 million views on YouTube within 24 hours.
The music video was viewed by over 101.1 million times within 24 hours after its release and till today, it has surpassed 694 million views.
Meanwhile, the band’s latest EP “BE” also ranked at No.18 on Billboard’s 200 album chart for the third week.
On the other hand, BTS has revealed the secret behind the lyrics of their super-hit song “Life Goes On”.
Per Koreaboo “Life Goes On is a song co-written by RM, Suga, and J-Hope that is meant to offer healing and comfort to all the people affected by the current pandemic.”
J-Hope revealed, “We wanted to show not people onstage, but just people in their 20’s going about their daily lives, goofing off, hanging out. The process was very fun and very natural for us.”
Moreover, Jungkook wanted to highlight his “emotional path” the most.
At the time he added, “What I wanted to illustrate was that since our tours were canceled because of covid-19 and we couldn’t meet our ARMY, I tried to express my longing and sadness.”
RM also added at the time, “Life Goes On has a different vibe and is a song with more gravity.” At the same time, however, “it’s powerful and aims to communicate “our words of comfort gently and carefully.”
