73 years have passed since independence, today is the birthday of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan.

The great leader, who lived a life of 71 years, 8 months and 17 days in principle, remained with us only in the first year of independence. It was three and a half months since independence in December 1947.

In such a situation, when the opportunity of the first birthday of the Founder of Pakistan came, the Government of Pakistan decided to celebrate it with full respect.

Thursday, December 25, 1947:

The Prime Minister of Pakistan Liaquat Ali Khan and Begum Liaquat Ali Khan hosted a grand banquet at their residence in Karachi on the occasion of Quaid-e-Azam’s 72nd Birthday Celebrations.

The whole residence was shining, all the guests had gathered in the party before the arrival of Pakistan.

At exactly 7 pm, the Governor-General, Founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, in a black sherwani, black Jinnah cape and white shalwar, along with his sister Miss Fatima Jinnah, came to the party.

In the reception hall, the Prime Minister and his wife Rana Liaquat Ali Khan, who are waiting for the Quaid-e-Azam and his sister, received him warmly and took him with them to the drawing-room. It was a very memorable emotional scene because of the arrival of the Quaid. At the same time, the guests chanted slogans of ‘Long live Quaid-e-Azam’ and ‘Long live Pakistan’.
