On Wednesday, the Los Angeles Police Department was called to the Beverly Hills compound currently under construction as the actress combines the abutting homes of her late mother, Carrie Fisher, and Grandmother Debbie Reynolds for a dispute involving a worker and in which a gunshot was fired. No one was injured and Lourd, a new mom, reportedly wasn’t home at the time.

Los Angeles, CA - *EXCLUSIVE* - The Star Wars actress is combining both her mother and grandmother's properties to build an 18 million dollar mega-estate for her growing family. Billie surprised the world last month with the birth of her first child with her fiancé, Austen Rydell. Billie’s childhood home has been featured in both Architectural Digest and People Magazine and is a Hollywood gem, so I’m sure Billie will want to preserve Princess Leia’s abode as much as possible while extending and updating the property. You can still see signs of Carrie’s famous aviary and an old water fountain in the original gardens has also been protected from the new construction. Reports are coming that officers replied to the scene at 10:39 a.m. PT for a shooting that had just occurred stemming from an altercation with a worker. Amid the dispute, one shot was fired, but no one was struck by gunfire. Police had a description of the suspect’s vehicle, an early 2000 gray Nissan Sentra, but said no one is in custody. Officers completed an ADW (Assault with a Deadly Weapon) shooting report was completed.

According to the news agency, the argument was between two construction workers, “one of whom had been fired.” The fired worker allegedly pulled out a rifle, aimed it at the worker he was fighting with, but then fired at the ground before fleeing in a car.
