Shaan Shahid to late mother: “The world seems so meaningless without you”

Famed actor Shaan Shahid’s mother Neelo has breathed her last on Saturday, January 30.

Taking to Twitter, Shaan informed, “It is wit saddest of heart I share departure of my mother as she has gone to her creator.. may Allah bless her”.

Later, the actor penned a heartfelt note for his late mother, the acclaimed actress.

He wrote on his Twitter handle, “I don’t know what to write as words have become empty .. just like the world without her is so meaning less.. my success and my failures both need her.the only hope that is still alive is to meet her one day beyond the boundaries of you forever. ALLAH apkay saath ho.”

Moreover, soon after the Waar actor’s tweet, social media users started condoling her sad demise and express deep grief and sorrow.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has also expressed deep condolences on Neelo Begum’s demise.

“My condolences and prayers go to @mshaanshahid on the passing of his mother,” the premier tweeted.

Neelo was born on 30 June 1940 in Bhera, Sargodha. Cynthia Alexander Fernandes was her real name.

At age 16, she appeared in Bhowani Junction (1956), a Hollywood film shot in and around Lahore. Neelo was an acclaimed actress who rose to fame for her work in film “Aaye Mausam Rangeelay Suhanay“.

She also won the Best Actress Nigar Award for film Zarqa (1969). It had superb music by Wajahat Attre and was sung by Mehdi Hassan.
