Krystina Arielle, the host of the upcoming Star Wars: The High Republic Show, received online harassment. The official Star Wars team came in support.

Arielle took to Twitter and talked about the role White people play in promoting racism. She then began receiving accusations of being racist. She referenced White People giving an opinion on systematic racism. She tweeted, “Just a reminder that white women are just as complicit in upholding and enforcing white supremacy.”

“The last 24 hours have been … not the greatest,” she tweeted on Saturday, along with screenshots of highly offensive, racist messages.

Social media users slammed the host as they commented on old tweets.

However, the Star Wars team tweeted in support of her. It mentioned in the tweet, “Our Star Wars community is one of hope and inclusivity”.

Many social media users have also come in support of Arielle. They began using the hashtag #IStandWithKrystina.

Matthew Mercer, the host of the Critical Role podcast, which has featured her, said, “There are few as bright, badass and altogether wonderful as [Krystina Arielle], and anyone who tries to step into her ring better know we’re right there beside her.”
