Zubaida aapa was the one who set standards for cooking shows in Pakistan. She was the one who used to treat her fans with numerous desi totkas (remedies) for various problems. The nation remembers her on her second death anniversary.

Zubaida Tariq had passed away on 4th January 2018 after suffering from a brief illness. She is survived by a son and a daughter.

Apart from death, she used to have remedies and solutions to almost all the health problems. Her cooking recipes are still highly liked in Pakistan.

She was born into an educated family of Hyderabad Deccan on April 4, 1957. She was the youngest of 9 siblings. She was the sister of the renowned playwright (late) Fatima Surayya Bajia and writer Anwar Maqsood. Her nephew Bilal Maqsood (son of Anwar Maqsood) is a Pakistani pop singer.

Her show ‘Dalda Ka Dastarkhuwan.’ Achieved huge popularity in Pakistan. She has also hosted her cooking show, ‘Haandi’. Moreover, she has worked with Sajid Hussain and Nadia Hussain as well. Apart from that, she was also recognized internationally. Saudi Arabia’s news outlet Khaleej Times featured an event that invited Zubaida Tariq as a guest.
